Inside Higher Ed covers research found in a forthcoming study on for-profit education by David Deming, Claudia Goldin, and Lawrence Katz. Preliminary results of the study, part of CAPSEE’s The Role of the For-Profit Sector in Higher Education project, indicate that while for-profits have certain strengths compared to community colleges, there are many areas where for-profits do not match the strengths of community colleges.
