From the Old Economy to the New Economy: The Case of the Pillowtex Plant in Kannapolis, North Carolina

Pillowtex, the largest company town in the United States, experienced mass layoffs in July 2003. This study followed up with workers who returned to community college after the layoffs to determine what role the community college played in their transition to new jobs.
